Jess H. Brewer's QUIPS Database

The difference between Science and Technology is simple: If it works like it is supposed to, it is technology; as soon as it doesn't make sense, that's science. All technology is apt to become science at a moment's notice. Technology all seems magical to me because I am used to science and it doesn't seem right when things work the way they are supposed to. Corollary to Arthur C. Clarke's famous Law: Science looks pretty much the same no matter how advanced it is relative to our own. (2002-03-02)
